Reviews about The Tennis Zone

I started playing tennis about 2 years ago. Bought my first racquet at a big box store. Not a terrible mistake but a mistake nonetheless. I realized the mistake when I went to purchase another racquet. I wound up at the tennis zone. As best I can tell, the folks who run this place know tennis and the equipment needed to play it. They will work with you to make sure you are getting a racquet that will work for you. And they have lots of demo racquets you can try out; the rental price is deducted from the price of a racquet purchase. As best I could tell, the prices here are in line with online and big box stores. They also string racquets. Personalized service with knowledgeable people at reasonable prices. What's not to like?

Extremely rude staff. They refused to rent my 18 year old son (who had a valid ID and major credit card) a racket. After he informed me, I called and they rudely made up the exscuse to me that you must be 21 to rent a racket. We will be buying online, I do not recommend giving your business to Tennis Zone.

I've seen a lot of other tennis companies - and this is a good one. The management of The Tennis Zone knows the game and the gear - and is committed to the quality of your tennis. They offer "online prices" with "in store service" - the best of both worlds. Sometimes people get offended by policies that protect the business - but I keep working with these guys because they work with me to support my tennis - and tennis in general. Unfortunately sometimes people want to take advantage of the smaller guys - but like I said - this business is very tough and competitive - if you want to be catered to and don't care about supporting a local business - you do not have the spirit of true tennis in you. I'm a national competitor in Mens 55s and I take tennis pretty seriously - and I support The Tennis Zone. You should too! - Coach (Cary) Browne.

The owner of this store promised us free racquet stringing if we bought a head racquet, so we bought a head racket for my son, my son was present and even heard the owner Promise free racquet stringing and was happy to get free racquet stringing, when we went to have it restrung, the owner tried to charge us $35 for the stringing, and he said that they no longer do free stringing and even said he never promised that when we have multiple witnesses present when we bought the racquet... I was shocked at how pathetic the owners customer service was I feel totally ripped off , my son feels ripped off, the owner is a con artist, he is not honest
